LEE TIPTON, RN MS LPC
Lee Tipton graduated with a Master of Science in Counseling
from Texas A&M at Commerce in 1992 and became a Licensed Professional Counselor
in 1993 after completing a one year internship of supervision and training in cognitive-behavioral
therapy.
His masters program emphasized marriage and family therapy, with nine months of clinical training in the “family of origin” approach.
Mr. Tipton has been in the mental health field in various positions since 1981 and
in private practice since 1995. Since licensure, he has pursued training and clinical
supervision in “solution focused therapy”, an approach which assumes the client
has a set of life skills and competencies from childhood, adolescence and young
adulthood that are available now, but are not being fully used as a result of lost
confidence or emotional distractions.
Since 2000, Lee has served as an onsite consultant
to two local corporations, helping managers and employees respond to personal and
emotional crises that impact morale and productivity in the workplace. He also enjoys providing training on work related issues.
